BBC1 on Sunday
Did any of you watch the new painting programme (competition) on BBC1 on Sunday – must admit I found the criticisms from the ‘experts’ very interesting – more so than the painting but I haven’t watched all of it yet so I hope to get the chance later this evening?
Thanks for coming to the AGM
Thank you everyone who turned out for our AGM last week. Your comments and wishes made useful pointers for the future. – Just a reminder to those coming to the Club Lunch on March 6th, following a vote there will not be a complimentary drink supplied at the start of lunch – drinks are of course available from the bar throughout the meal.
This Friday see what you can do without a brush!
This week’s theme for the day is ‘Mark Making’ painting without a brush. Do bring along your tools – sticks – pencil ends – sponges – corks and see what can be done without a brush – the choice of subject is up to you. Should be fascinating to see what you all can come up with.
Next Monday is Coffee Monday
Don’t forget NEXT MONDAY 2nd March is our COFFEE MORNING at the Yacht Club by the Buckle from 10ish to 11.30ish – all members welcome with friends and partners – just for a natter, very little arty talk at all. Perhaps even eat something.
Club Lunch is on 6th March, have you got your ticket?
There are still a few seats available for the Club Lunch on 6th March at the Golf Club, Firle Road, Seaford. Do let me know as soon as possible if you’d like to join us. And for those who haven’t yet paid for the meal or handed in your menu choices please let me have them by this Friday (27th) latest.
Any ideas for next year’s programme?
As the committee will soon be thinking about next year’s programme (it does come round so quickly) if you have any ideas or requests any time now would be great to hear from you, either by email or in person.
See you at the Downs… Anne (Sec)
