Attached is a new exhibition Entry Form with slight amendments, please use either this one or the original I sent a couple of weeks ago. Also, don’t forget your cheques (made payable to Seaford Art Club). I will be at The Downs this week 28th and the following week so you can pass your entry forms to me then.
I will also be looking for stewards for The Crypt, if you are showing, you are expected to steward at least once during the week. If you’re not showing we would still welcome your help.
If you are entering the Horticultural Society’s show remember it is on August 5, speak to Marion if you have any queries.
Good turn out last week at Grange Gardens
Last week’s outdoor painting was a great success, Southover Grange Gardens in Lewes are lovely and well-kept and members were able to produce some great sketches.
Ditchling is the location for sketching this week
This week’s outdoor session is at Ditchling and the Ditchling Museum where there is an excellent exhibition of Eric Gill’s work. To give yourself time we recommend that you arrive at the front of the museum around 1pm which will allow for the museum visit, sketching in the village and church AND TEA & snacks in the museum café. Whatever you may think about Gill’s personal life this exhibition is still well worth seeing.
I’m afraid neither Jeremy nor I will be there this week but I’m sure the trip will be successful without us!
