Last week a few of us went to Friston & Crowlink and although a bit gusty it was lovely and bright. I had a walk down to the Crowlink hamlet and I actually got a sketch and a walk! I know there was a good turnout at The Downs – and that the ‘lads’ took their normal long teabreak – what do they get to talk about?? Bet it’s not about art though.
Show your summer sketches
Our first meeting of the Autumn programme is an opportunity to show everyone your sketches and paintings done through the summer, do come and let us all enjoy your new creations. Following that we have a ‘free style’ session – in other words ‘do whatever you like’.
Don’t forget next Monday (5th October) is our monthly coffee morning at ‘The Vu at Seaford Head’ (the golf club restaurant’s new name) from 10ish till 12ish. There might even be some cakes this month! All members (new & old) and their partners & friends all welcome so do come along & join us for a natter and a coffee.
I am pleased to report we have sold another picture from the display at the Golf Club, Paddy Simkin’s painting ‘Bathers’ sold this weekend. This sale makes 8 sales since we’ve been showing there.
