We’ll also need your work for Seaford Head Gold Club and the new venue at Fonetastic in the town. Don’t forget not too small, any subject and medium AND properly finished for hanging please.
Also the Monthly Challenge (or 3 monthly over the summer) is due for judging. Subject if you can remember was‘ABSTRACT’ (your interpretation).
We should have lots to look at – I hope, but we won’t have the room or the facilities for painting or drawing – but do come for a chat anyway.
This month’s Coffee Morning saw a goodly group, meeting & chatting at the Golf Course on a lovely autumn morning – almost too good to be indoors – even the wind had dropped and this may just be the last time this year I’ll be able to say that.
No Meeting on 28th October
DON’T FORGET: There will be NO MEETING at The Downs LC on October 28th as the hall will be in use for vote counting at the local elections.
If you haven’t visited yet – do go to The Crypt and see Maureen Black’s Retrospective exhibition. It’s on till midday Wednesday so you don’t have long before you’ll have missed it. Great to see her art on show (and for sale).
A murdered spider
On a personal note – many of you know off or have heard of my grand-daughter Emma and her daughter Kyla (3.5yrs). And no Emma hasn’t had the expected baby yet – any day now though. The following email sent to me has made us laugh so I thought I’d share it with you as well:
“This morning Kyla witnessed me beat the life out of a spider that was not invited into our house... and when I had to defend why I was nasty to the spider I said I didn't hit him just smudged him a little bit...
I then collect Kyla from nursery to learn she's had an 'altercation' with another child and when I ask her about it she said 'it's okay mummy I didn't hit her just smudged her a little bit’…I’m not cut out for this stage of parenting” ...Anne
