Our trip to London the other week for the SAA exhibition went well. It was rather a long journey both there and back, but so much better than having to struggle on tube and train.
Downpour
The rain that came down in the afternoon was so noisy on the Design Centre’s roof you couldn’t hear yourself think. I think the only downside to the journey was because it was a small coach, there wasn’t a lot of room (well nothing like enough room as far as I was concerned). I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to walk when we got back to The Downs. And what a relief to be able to get out of the coach.
Despite the lack of leg room on the coach, I think everyone enjoyed their day watching the demonstrations and having a ‘go’ with some of the new products. Bill Savidge and I made a note of the really good demonstrators with a view to perhaps inviting them to come and give a demonstration or workshop – we shall have to wait and see if we can afford them.
