SAA exhibition at the Design Centre

Our trip to London
Our trip to London the other week for the SAA exhibition went well. It was rather a long journey both there and back, but so much better than having to struggle on tube and train.

Downpour
The rain that came down in the afternoon was so noisy on the Design Centre’s roof you couldn’t hear yourself think.  I think the only downside to the journey was because it was a small coach, there wasn’t a lot of room (well nothing like enough room as far as I was concerned). I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to walk when we got back to The Downs. And what a relief to be able to get out of the coach.

Despite the lack of leg room on the coach, I think everyone enjoyed their day watching the demonstrations and having a ‘go’ with some of the new products. Bill Savidge and I made a note of the really good demonstrators with a view to perhaps inviting them to come and give a demonstration or workshop – we shall have to wait and see if we can afford them.

Art Show 2014 — A thank you

10/7/2014

On the left are just a few shots* of  the Art club's 2014 show celebrating our 60 years of art in Seaford.

Now I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped make this year's annual art show a success.

Despite the ever increasing number of local art events during the year, more people came to visit our show than in recent years. We received many very impressive and positive comments about both the variety and quality of the work in our show.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make this year’s show a great event. I hope members  enjoyed being part in it.

Jeremy Sales (Chairman)
PS: Looking forward to next year and the Seaford 7 later in the summer.

*Apologies
I apologise to those who have not had their work shown here. Also, for the cropping, distortion and poor quality of some of the images. It was very difficult with the available light and the reflections of the glass etc.
