Not so pleasurable was the long wait in the Post Office for overseas stamps, but at least the queue and the assistants were cheerful. Then on to The Crypt Gallery for the ‘Pop Up’ show which lasts till Thursday, lots of good work on show, many by our own club artists, which cheered me up no end. Checked up on our artworks up at the Seaford Head Golf Club to make sure all was well and congratulated the staff there on their decorations, fresh green plants and delicate hanging decorations – all very elegant. (They are also preparing themselves for serving afternoon teas in future and the new tea pots etc look really nice.)
A bit of Christmas fun this Friday at the Downs
Whilst I was out this morning I also took the opportunity to deliver the table layout plan to the Downs LC in readiness for Friday’s pre-Christmas session on Friday 16th. They’ll be goodies to eat – and drink – and Daryl & I have been thinking up a fun art project we can all have a go at. You don’t need to bring your art materials – all will be provided – but do bring some Christmassy bits to eat and nibble to share.
If you’ve made your own Christmas Cards this year and have some unsent, do bring them along to show us. Always interesting to see what others have made.
2017 programme is available
I will have the new 2017 programme available if you haven’t had yours yet, anyone who can’t pick theirs up, I’ll put into the post once the Christmas rush is over. Should you lose your copy, Jeremy will be uploading it to the website shortly.
If you haven’t paid your subscription for 2017 yet, I am happy to take cheques on Friday if you want it out of the way before the new year. Anne.
