This is just a reminder to let you know the meeting room at the Downs is booked for this Friday 23rd as usual. The theme is up to you. I'm afraid I made a bit of a muck up last week and no one's sure whether the session is on or not. WELL… IT'S ON!
Anniversary Party at Seaford Golf Club
I have been asked by several people if there is a 'dress code' for those of you coming to the Anniversary Party on Friday evening at Seaford Golf Club. I print below their Dress Code:
'There may be different views on "smart" - but we mean "fresh in appearance, neat and in good order" so not acceptable are: Being shoeless anywhere, head wear in the clubhouse, jeans on the course, singlets or vest tops, shell or track suits, clothes of other sports, e.g. football shirts, beach or camouflage wear, wet, dry, soiled, ripped, patched or torn clothing.'
So I think this rules out torn jeans or bikinis! I know this is our normal wear after hours but not in the club house please!
I do hope everyone who is coming enjoys themselves, much thought and effort has been made by all the committee members, past & present, to make this an anniversary to be remembered.

This week's quote
'I am a simple man, and I use simple materials: Ivory black, Vermilion (red), Prussian blue, Yellow ochre, Flake white and no medium. That’s all I’ve ever used in my paintings.'
