I’m so pleased the trip to Chartwell went well, congratulations to Nina & Jan for organising a great trip. Roll on the next one when hopefully I can go on it too.
The last 2 art sessions seemed to have been a success as well. Peter Knight & Daryl Cogavin I know did a good job explaining ACEOs and the interest shown looks like it has spawned some interesting ideas for our next programme.
This Friday 'Still Life'
This Friday we will have a new layout for ‘Still Life’. Linda Wells is going to set up 3 still life themed subjects for us to draw or paint. The room will be laid out similar to the seating plan for Portraits etc. Do bring your easels as there will not be a lot of table space, although there will be space for those not wanting to join in. Although the programme suggests you bring ‘something from the beach’ Linda will be supplying all the objects so there is no need to bring objects with you.
In order for the subjects to be arranged PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE HALL UNTIL JUST BEFORE 2PM.
A Walk in the Park
Don’t forget this month’s challenge. A Walk in the Park, entries to be judged on 2nd June.
Entries for the Golf Club exhibition can be bought in this Friday or on 2nd June as we will change them after the COFFEE MORNING on 5th June.
Painting Outdoors this summer
For those of you who have expressed an interest in Painting Outdoors this summer for the first time, I am happy to open my garden on Thursday 25th (This week) from 2pm onwards for any club members to come and have a go at painting/drawing, have a cup of tea (and maybe a bit of cake). The garden is really looking good at the moment and as long as the sun shines it could be a good start to the summer programme. If you don’t have my address, email me & I’ll give you the details. I promise not to bore you with my photos of Cyprus!
Experienced and newbies to En Plein Aire all WELCOME.
