I know I won’t have time in the morning, so I’ll avoid some awful TV and write the email instead.
Drawing with the other hand
This Friday is the last meeting of the year and we’re ALL going to have a go at drawing with the other hand. This should produce some fun results to cheer us on our merry way into the Christmas Spirit! If you have any spare mince pies, chocolates or brownies (I might even make another batch of the chocolate brownies I produced last week) do bring them along to share. Thought we could perhaps bring our refreshments into the hall instead of going out to the café area – I’m sure if we don’t make too much mess the Downs staff won’t get too upset.
For those of you who didn’t make last week’s meeting, I will have your copy of next year’s programme (2016) ready for you to collect. Anyone who can’t make it, I’ll post them a copy (after the Christmas post rush).
Subs are due
An IMPORTANT REMINDER, Subs are due on our first meeting in the New Year (8th January). Annual subscription for 2016 is £35. Cheques should be made out to SEAFORD ART CLUB and passed to Marion Freelove our treasurer.
Thanksgiving Service for our dear friend Bill Savidge
As many of you already know, a Thanksgiving Service to celebrate the life of our dear friend Bill Savidge is to be held on Tuesday 22nd December at 2pm at Seaford Baptist Church in Belgrave Road, Seaford, BN25 2EE. Everyone is welcome to attend. (Typical of Bill he had left instructions that no one is to wear black to his funeral, only bright colours!). If you want to know a little more about Bill and his work, see the blog entry for last week or click on 'Bill Savage' under 'Categories' (this can found in the column to the right of this blog entry).
The reason I won’t have time to write this in the morning is because I’m on yet another oil painting course with Tom Benjamin. This time on colour mixing and brush strokes – jolly hard work but the lunch today was great so I’m hoping for good things over the next two days!
