Many of us attended the wonderful thanksgiving service in memory of Bill Savidge on Tuesday. So many people, and all knowing the Bill that we knew and loved. I passed on our memory book to Brenda during the service and I’m sure it will be appreciated by her and his family.
To those of you who heard about my fall outside the Church, thank you for your concern, a special thanks to Jan and Peter for their care. I’m doing OK, my chest is still painful – but only when I breathe! (I’ve not tried laughing yet!)
You should have all received our new programme for 2016 – if not, you can find it on our website. Our first get together will be at the Golf Club for our coffee morning on the 4th January 2016, hope to see you all there.
Keep safe and have a great holiday, Anne
To add to the message from Anne above, I would like to wish everyone a super Christmas break and a very Happy New Year.
I would like to thank the club committee members (with a special thought for Bill Savidge who was always so helpful) for their help this year developing the club and it's activities. And I would also like to thank all our members for their continued support for the club.
And thank you Anne
On behalf of the committee and all our members we would like to offer a very special, extra massive thanks to Anne our faithful club secretary for all the hard work, time and energy she has put in throughout year (not to mention previous years). Anne works tirelessly using her organisational skills to make sure we all know what is going on and then making it go!
I hope you all find the club meetings are fun, creative and sociable. All those who attended our last meeting of 2015 seemed to have have enjoyed themselves. And what a sociable occasion it was too. Our committee will do their best to make it even more so next year.
I very much look forward to seeing you all next year and here's to even more artistic fun in 2016.
Jeremy Sales (Chair).
New resource on this web site
If you check out the menu on this web site you will note there is now an extra page called 'Art Videos'. This offers links to short films on art. I will try to add more links in 2016. To get to the page if you can't see it, hover over 'more' on the menu and an extended menu should pop down. Click on a link and it should either open up the film in a new window, or give you easy access to the link. (or click here to take you to the new Video page now).
