This week we have 2 models coming for our Life Drawing session, so please bring your drawing boards and easels with you. There will be some tables out for those of you not into peering at the naked bodies, so you can ‘do your own thing’!
We will be also judging your paintings for our October Challenge on the idea of ‘ Found on the beach’ and as usual there will be a prize for the most popular. Not sure where we will exhibit them but I’ll find a space don’t worry.
November’s Challenge subject is ‘My Family’ and judging will take place on November 25th – so get started soon as you don’t have too long.
Sorry but we be able to change the pictures at the Golf Club until the start of December (in time for Christmas). So please DON’T bring your pictures in this week.
There have been three sales of the work currently on show and these will be replaced this week. Looks like sales maybe picking up. At the Golf Club we often have compliments paid to us when we’re in the process of hanging them pictures, visitors to and members of the Golf Club do appreciate your work and love to see it on show. Well done to all of you. From now on the club will be asking for a 10% commission from any picture sold from the Golf Club, which will go into club funds. Any pictures sold from the Fonetastic café will be subject to a 10% commission payable to the tea shop. Instead of the £1 hanging fee we used to charge we are suggesting you make a voluntary donation instead to a charity. (You can decide on which charity at the AGM).
