Bill Savidge — superstar of texture and technique
Bill paints with water colour and gave us a speedy demo on texture and effects helped by 'ones he had prepared earlier'. Bill started with PVA and tissue paper (nothing unusual I thought) but then continued to describe all manner of 'alchemy' he uses to achieve his aims. Crackle paste, Gells, PVA, and more.
My only complaint was the lack of formal attire worn during his presentation. He did however offer apologies for the state of his trousers, he had had several run-ins with emulsion during decorating sessions. If you want to try anything a bit different with watercolour Bill is your man.

Lisa Taylor — recycler extraordinaire
Lisa generously gave away many of her hard earned secrets showing us how she creates her highly coloured and textured panels using MDF, Polyfilla, PVA, and a wonderful Magpie collection of found objects. All these are used to create an endless variety of patterns on which colour is applied.
Kerry Anne Loadsman — telling a story with Collage
Kerry Anne produces art of a different kind. These are very personal and unique artworks inspired by her interest in poetry, music and lyrics. She uses a mixture of all these elements to produce collages that are not only visually appealing but convey very meaningful stories. Quite a few members were interested in the picture Kerry Anne developed during the afternoon. There is so much more meaning hidden in her art than you realize at first.
Again, I am sorry I do not have any pictures taken last Friday. Jeremy.
