Don’t forget if you are showing pictures you are expected to do at least 2 sessions during the week. If you are new to the club it’s not an onerous jobs and can be very rewarding. There will be at least 3 stewards to each session, which will help you get to know your fellow members and talking to and listening to visitors comments can be quite enlightening. You are also welcome to bring some work in progress for visitors to watch you. Sessions are only 2 hours at a time and there are 3 sessions each day for you to pick from. Anyone who has not yet volunteered, I will be writing to separately to indicate which sessions we need covered.
Last week I gave directions to our outside venue – and no one commented on my deliberate mistake – I got my Church mixed up, Berwick and Wilmington got jumbled in my memory – Sorry. I know some turned up at the right church I just hope any that didn’t find Berwick Church aren’t still out there wandering!
This week venue is Falmer
This week I am more sure of my directions – to Falmer Pond. I’ve not been there but I am reliably informed that you follow the A27 past Lewes towards Brighton, then take the left hand turning towards Woodingdean, also signed to the AMEX stadium. Almost immediately there is a left hand turn to the Pond and Church. The pond is home to ducks, but visitors are asked not to feed them bread only bird seed. Hope we have a this good weather continuing which will make for some good paintings/drawings.
The Downs is available
As usual The Downs LC are available for those wanting to paint indoors. If you would like a lift to Falmer let me know and I’ll try and arrange one for you. (I’m on 01323 491008 if you’ve forgotten my number)
Don’t forget there are a number of Open Houses in Seaford for Artwave with some opening this coming weekend. If you’re showing at another venue as well as ours, do let me know so that we can advertise your show as well.
