Another scorching morning – can this be summer? I popped in to town earlier and drove back along the seafront and then up Grand Avenue – wow! Now I know why I’m glad we moved to Seaford. It’s so quiet here (unlike Hove where we lived for 30+ years) the birds are singing but not even the sound of a lawn mower going disturbs us. Night before last we were looking out into the garden at dusk and realised we had BATS! I know many think I’m bats, but these were the real thing! Something we haven’t seen since we were last in France and a real delight. Still enough of this, on to serious matters.
Handing in day is on Friday 27th. Members should bring their pictures in as follows:
Surnames beginning A-K from 10.30 to 11.30am
Surnames beginning L-Z from 11.30 to 12.30pm
If you can’t get to the Crypt at these times, please let me know and we’ll see what we can do.
The show proper starts Friday evening, all members and guests are invited to the Pre-view from 6pm till 8pm.
Opening times during the following week 10am till 4.30pm

The committee have compiled an excellent programme for our summer ‘au plein air’ outings starting on 4th July and copies will be available when you hand in your painting. I will also email everyone just to make sure you know where we’ll be going. As space is limited at Paddy & Sidney Simpkin’s garden on July 4th 2pm-4pm please let me know asap if you want to join us. We can only have 10 people so first come first served, phone me or email me. Lifts can be arranged, again contact me.
