This week’s theme is ‘Graffiti’ - should be fun, although you should be using paper to draw on not the tables or walls at the Downs.
On the subject of the programme, I had a complaint last week that I had changed the printed programme and not informed those without computers. I’m sorry but most of you do receive my emails and I can’t always find time to ring round to inform those ‘non-silver surfers’ of any changes. If you have contact with them outside the club meetings do please let them know if any changes are made.
Change to programme
Another change is that entries for the exhibition at Seaford Golf Club need to be bought in on June 3rd. This change was bought about by the retrospective of Bill’s work being added to the programme in April. I am hoping that very soon we are to have a second showing space in town but I’m still waiting to hear if they are ready for us. – Watch this space –
Don’t forget your entries for May’s challenge (still life flowers and/or leaves) have to be ready for June 3rd as well – get painting!
This coming weekend
Looking for somewhere to go this coming weekend? There is an Art & Photographic exhibition in support of Waves Family Support on Saturday 28th May 10 – 4pm and Sunday 29th May 12 – 4pm at Seaford Baptist Church, Belgrave Road. Entry free.
Bill Savidge's retrospective raises £59
I am pleased to announce that our recent retrospective held at The View Restaurant at Seaford Head Golf Club in memory of William (Bill) Savidge (1947-2015) proved very popular. Lots of visitors came to see it and £59 was raised for our local charity ‘Waves’. A big thank you to everyone who helped support this event. Jeremy
