Three Scottish painters including Joan Eardley. Interesting film from the late fifties.

BBC iPlayer: Barbera Hepworth. Classic BBC documentary. Wow... such clear diction, typical of the period. But the pace is slow by the standards of today, so you might find it difficult to keep awake. However, it should help you to appreciate the wonderful lines of her sculpture and how they relate to nature. About 28 minutes. Google have created a collection of ultra Hi-Res images of some famous paintings. To help you start, this link takes you to the Musèe d' Orsay Paris. It really is worth looking at this site. Perhaps not clear at first but take a look, persevere, and you will see how it works. You can view famous artworks close up and examine brush work in a way you could never do in the gallery.
